&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela is currently full professor and head of Department at Sapienza University of Rome (since 1991). Since 2013 he is the Director of the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering  “Antonio Ruberti”.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
His main research interests concern algorithm analysis and design, and their applications to computational biology, networks and parallel computing systems. &lt;br /&gt;
He has authored  more than 150 papers on journals and international conferences and has coauthored a book published by Springer and five volumes in LNCS. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He is member of Steering Committees of the Workshop on Graph Theoretic Concepts in Computer Science  (WG), Workshop on Algorithmic methods for Railways Optimization (ATMOS), member of the Council of EATCS, European Association of Theoretical Computer Science. he has been chair of several international conferences including ICALP, WG, SEA, MAPSP.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Principal Investigator of many National projects including a bilateral project Italy-Israel; he has been   local coordinator for Sapienza University of Rome  of  several  European projects (MAP, AMORE, APPOL, AEOLUS, GRAAL, PANORAMA, FRONTS, EUSACOU).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He in involved in two spinoff companies (WLAB and WSENSE).&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
